Ryobi is a leading brand when it comes to tools like a miter saw, chainsaw, and table saw. Ryobi has been in business since 1943 and has gained a lot of popularity over the last 2 decades. Today, we are going to discuss how to unlock a Ryobi miter saw.
How to Unlock a Ryobi Miter Saw
Ryobi miter saws come with a lock mechanism. You can push down the saw arm and lock it. It makes it easier to transport and store the tool. You can follow the following steps to unlock your miter saw.
Before you begin, ensure that the power cable is removed from the plug and the saw is placed on a flat surface.
Step 1: Locate the locking pin. On a Ryobi miter saw, it is located on the right side area of the saw arm, above the main pivot point. If you can’t find it, refer to the instruction manual.
Step 2: Press the top of the saw gently. It will force the pivot joint to lie freely between the lower and upper limits of the locked position. Now push the lock pin to the right side, away from the body of the saw. You will feel that the knob gets out of the way freely.
Step 3: When the pin has been pulled back, you can launch the saw arm and let it reach the maximum stretching position. Now release the pin. The arm has been unlocked.
